Effective Date: February 1, 2026 · Last Updated: February 11, 2026

1. Who We Are

ProtoBerd ("we," "us," "our") is an AI-powered prototyping platform operated from the United Arab Emirates. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our service at protoberd.dev.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account information: Email address and authentication data when you sign in via OAuth (Google, GitHub).
  • Generated code: Code produced by the AI is processed transiently and not stored permanently unless you explicitly save a project.
  • Usage metrics: Anonymized data such as generation counts, feature usage, error rates, and performance metrics.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically for security and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the ProtoBerd service
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To process your prompts through AI models for code generation
  • To monitor service performance and prevent abuse
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services with appropriate data processing agreements:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database services (hosted in AWS, SOC2 compliant).
  • Anthropic: AI model provider (Claude) for code generation. Prompts are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models.
  • Vercel: Hosting and edge functions.

5. Data Retention

Generated code is processed transiently and discarded after your session unless you save it. Account data is retained for the duration of your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

6. Your Rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication via OAuth, and rate limiting to prevent abuse.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or via email.
